This is the first release ever of a Limited Edition Deck of the Phoenix brand. The British graphic artist Dave Frampton designed the Apocalypse Deck with references to the Mayan culture and their Mayan calendar that ends on the 21st of December 2012. Many people think that this date marks the End of Days.

Well, Dave as well as Christian from Card-Shark don´t believe that the world will end on that day. But they both believe that this deck will inspire you to play around with this hype of the year. You will love the design and features of the Phoenix Apocalypse Deck, made for magicians and deck collectors alike: exactly 2012 Phoenix Apocalypse Decks will be released, a very limited run!

Produced in highest possible Quality Q1 at US Playing Card Company, certainly with Air-Cushion Finish secretly marked backs, in the tradition of other Card-Shark decks, like the Gypsy Deck or Heirloom Deck, so without knowing how to read it, it will stay completely undetectable.

The faces have a very interesting look of destruction, like worn-out decals, no other decks ever looked like that the court cards show Mayan gods. All Aces have the typical Phoenix size, all with fine Mayan details the Joker shows the Mayan Vision Serpent, the most important social and religious symbol for the Mayan culture, who stands – like the Phoenix Joker – for rebirth and renewal.

A second – identical – Joker shows the Mayan Serpent holding a predicted card in his hand.

Two extra cards included showing “The End is near…” and “The End”, great for funny twists and card tricks including routines for the special cards and the explanation how to read the markings.
